"What if...?"

Never regret taking a chance, even if you fall on your face;

It's better to know you tried and failed than to wonder the great "what if?".

“Devin Frye”

The unrelenting power of “what if?”, it can motivate or paralyze. I succumbed to the power of these two words for so long when it came to a career change. Two small words, six letters, paralyzed me into believing staying was the best option, and I continued to bury my dream.

The words sat contently in a negative space in my mind until my heart knew I needed a change. At this point, I was able to flip the words to a motivating power question. I began to look at my dream in little steps and did not allow for any answer that carried negativity. This didn’t remove logic and reality from the question of “what if”, but I challenged roadblocks and difficulties with solutions instead of doubt.

I am so grateful I tried, it was a long road, and I may have fallen a few times, but I did it. I no longer wonder “what if”, I know, and I am grateful I took a chance on me. Take a chance on you, it is so worth it.

I challenge anyone reading this to really ask yourself what are your own “what ifs” . Now if you flipped them to a position of personal empowerment how does that shift the possibilities.
